Magan at seventeen, was one of the youngest students in the first class at KRV. His weaving, both intricate in complex geometric
patterning and bold in the use of colour, is embedded in the Kutch tradition. For Mahan, the conscious study of design was new.
He quietly took in the information and came up with leaps of unexpected innovation. Magan wants to make new patterns and explore
weaving. In the future, he plans to join efforts with his uncle to create their own business.
“I enjoyed the freedom, the fun, the support of team members. The first few days were hard… but I never imagined such a school.
I want to make weavings that you have never seen before so that I can be known to the world as a master artisan.”
