Kala Raksha is dedicated to raising the value of artisan creativity. In 2010, the Trust launched the brand Artisan Design.

In many hand made crafts, an artisan executes a product designed by someone other than herself. An Artisan Designed product is designed by the artisan who produced it. Kala Raksha’s unique approach originated the trademark. For Kala Raksha, the designing process is as important as the product. Artisan Design certifies that a product is an artisan’s own creative innovation. It celebrates the individuals’ heart, mind and hand.
